Make the World Mobile could not accomplish its mission without our distribution ally, Partners for Care.
For the past five years, every Mobility Cart built by Make the World Mobile has been or will soon be given to Partners for Care. (Our next shipment is scheduled for September 2025.)
Partners for Care has helped to ease the burdens of people with disabilities in Kenya since 2007. PFC provides Mobility Carts which change lives by providing mobility, dignity, and independence.
The reasons for our continuing commitment to this cherished relationship is rooted in our organizations' shared values which include trust, dependability, and integrity.
Though our relationship with Partners for Care is focused on our mutual interest in providing Mobility Carts for the leg disabled of Kenya, I think that you should know that PFC provides for additional needs which include the following:
PFC strongly advocates for every child's right to a healthy life. At the the forefront of this effort is the WaterSafe campaign to ensure children have access to safe drinking water. WaterSafe backpacks prevent drinking water cross contamination from jerrycans. During 2024, 4052 of these products were distributed.
The Partners for Care Sewing Program is a transformative initiative designed to empower Kenyans by providing valuable sewing skills. Through strategic local partnerships, the program has successfully established 51 sewing schools, including six within prisons and one at the Kakuma Refugee Camp in Northern Kenya, creating a pathway for thousands of students to acquire life-changing skills and opportunities for economic independence.
To date, PFC has received 100 laptops and 275 desktop computers, which have been used to set up 31 computer schools. A total of 17,552 individuals have graduated, with many of them going on to college, gain employment, or launch their own businesses.
As a faith-based organization, Partners for Care proudly announces that through their efforts and the movement of the Spirit, 774 accepted the gospel of Jesus Christ during 2024.
